Nickel Alloy 625
UNS N06625

Stainalloy has extensive experience in supplying alloy UNS N06625 piping materials. We have been working with this for more than 10 years. Through this vast experience, Stainalloy has built an unparalleled technical know-how and we have close relationships with very leading manufacturers.

Alloy 625

Nickel alloy UNS N06625 is a non-magnetic nickel-based alloy. The alloy is highly resistant to corrosive environments, in particular to pitting, crevice corrosion and corrosion cracking. In addition, Nickel Alloy UNS N06625 is not sensitive to organic and mineral acids and alkalis. Also, Nickel alloy UNS N06625 exhibits very good resistance to chloride-containing media. The mechanical properties of the alloy ensure excellent performance under the most severe conditions. At both extremely low cryogenic temperatures and at temperatures up to 1100°F.

Characteristics of Alloy 625

  • Excellent resistance to corrosive environments
  • Good mechanical properties at high and low temperatures
  • Extreme resistance to pitting, crevice formation, intergranular corrosion and erosion
  • Good resistance to alkalis
  • Good resistance to chlorinated media
  • Good resistance to organic and mineral acids

Application

Due to the excellent resistance of nickel alloy UNS N06625 to alkalis and acids, these alloys are often used in the chemical industry. For example, in the production of mineral acids and other chemical processing. Nickel alloy UNS N06625 is also commonly used in oil and natural gas extraction facilities. Other areas where Nickel Alloy UNS N06625 is applied are marine engineering, aerospace, nuclear reactors and pollution control equipment. Also, Nickel Alloy UNS N06625 is used for applications exposed to high mechanical stress.

Stainalloy

Stainalloy supplies its large Nickel Alloy UNS N06625 piping packages worldwide. These are required by the oil and gas producing and processing industries. In addition, Stainalloy also serves medium to small nickel alloy UNS N06625 piping packages. These pipe packages come from Stainalloy stock during advanced construction phases, when short lead times are required.

Stainalloy supplies ½" through 8" seamless alloy 625 pipes are manufactured in cold worked annealed condition in accordance with ASTM B444 gr.1. Only by the most reputable mills. The cold annealed condition provides significantly higher mechanical properties. Higher than alloyed UNS N06625 tubes machined in a solution annealed condition.

Stainalloy's customers benefit from an Alloy UNS N06625 stock program. This is subjected to the most stringent testing requirements, which go beyond the specifications of Shell, MESC, ADNOC and Petrobras. All Alloy UNS N06625 stocks are manufactured exclusively by European, Japanese or American factories. Stainalloy supplies seamless and welded tubes that conform to ASTM B705 UNS N06625. In addition, Stainalloy also supplies seamless and welded fittings in accordance with ASTM B366 UNS N06625, and flanges and forgings in accordance with ASTM B564 UNS N06625. The Stainalloy stock program is especially useful for customers undertaking construction projects related to the upstream oil and gas industry.
